Updates from the horses 11/6/11

It was a full day for several VEA horses today.

Young Jess had her very first ride today and did just wonderful.  She walked around on her lead with a rider like she had been doing it forever.   Watch for more updates and video as Jess continues her training.

If you're looking for a nice lead line horse and one that is unaffected by things going on around her, Bella, may be the one for you.  She's a lovely little gray paint who will have her profile posted soon along with some video of her ride today.  She's a very laid back girl.

Our Vivian is still in boot camp and doing just splendid.  She's turning into a nice little trail horse.  Four wheelers, creeks, barking dogs and climbing up rocks are all just in a day's workout.

Demi continues to dust off her skills and recalls what she knows.  She rode nicely today at a walk and trot and watch for her on youtube strutting her stuff.

More Ways To Keep In Touch With VEA

VEA is very happy to announce the launch of its new website:  www.vea-tnhorserescue.org

In addition, keep checking the blog for photos and assessment updates on the VEA horses.  Volunteer Renee will be blogging as she works with the VEA adoptables with details on the appropriate skill level for a rider, and how the horses are progressing with their knowledge and training.  Some of our VEA farm owners and volunteers will also contribute with updates on the horses on the farms.

Spread the word to all of your horse loving friends, and feel free to share all blog updates on Facebook.
